This Just For Flowers sheer dye spray offers floral designers and creatives a unique way to add color without covering the natural texture or details of the surface. A single can lets you create layered, nuanced tones that enhance rather than mask.

A light mist provides a soft tint; additional coats build depth and intensity. Blend with other sprays or apply to colored flowers or surfaces to create surprising new hues. Dye fresh, silk and dried flowers. Glaze glass and ceramics. Stain wood or paper. Fast-drying Just for Flowers offers versatility, speed and color control for busy florists.

Specifications

Dry Time: 30-45 seconds between light coats on fresh flowers. 5 minutes dry to handle on hard surfaces with best durability after 18-24 hours.

Coverage: Varies with use and desired color. Single Coat: up to 15 sq ft / 1.4 m².

Application Conditions: Use at room temperature (70 °F / 21 °C), low humidity and a well-ventilated area.

Recoat Window: Recoat at any time.

Cleanup: Use lacquer thinner or acetone on non-perishable surfaces.

Application Instructions

  • Shake the can well for 1 minute after hearing the mixing ball rattle.
  • Align the spray opening with the black dot on the can rim.
  • Spray in a well-ventilated area.
  • Make sure surface is clean and dry.
  • Tint white surfaces the spray color or blend the surface color with the spray color.
  • Easily shift colors to neighboring hues on the color wheel.
  • Color deepens with additional coats.
  • Create smooth color fades from one shade to another.
  • Excellent on satin, sheer and lace ribbons, as well as fabric wedding accessories.
  • For fresh flowers, spray from a distance of 15–18 in / 38–45 cm. Best results occur when blossoms are in good condition and at room temperature.
  • For hard surfaces, spray from a distance of 12–15 in / 30–38 cm using steady, consistent strokes parallel to the surface. Start at the base and move upward, rotating the object Slightly overlap each stroke to prevent uneven coverage and ensure a smooth, even finish. Begin and end each stroke off of the object.
  • For Styrofoam brand foam, spray 15–18 in / 38–45 cm away using light, even coats. Allow to dry between coats and build up coverage gradually. Avoid over-wetting the surface to prevent melting.
  • For vinyl surfaces, apply a basecoat of Super Surface Sealer to ensure compatibility with spray color.
  • On prefinished or unknown coatings, test spray a small, hidden area first to confirm adhesion and desired results.
  • Ideal for indoor projects. Colors are not UV resistant and may fade if regularly exposed to direct sunlight.
