Hothouse proprietor, Mandy Majerik, knows the strength of having savvy employees. She is always on the lookout for outstanding designers and she certainly found one in Shawn Michael Foley AIFD, PFCI.
Relocating from Wisconsin 2 years ago, Shawn traded in cool crisp weather for those humid southern summers! That acclimation hasn’t stopped his endless flow of creativity… from presenting an AIFD main stage program, curating edgy artful photo shoots featuring flowers and the beauty of the human form, to whimsical flower crowns for his guinea pig. There is no question that Shawn lends dynamic talent to Hothouse!
Sidetracked Cuteness ALERT: Just gotta share it…
When I visited, I found Shawn at his office desk working on wedding proposals. You can follow him on Instagram under the moniker andthentheresshawn, and catch up with all his #shawnanigans.
I was able to pull him away long enough to discover one of his favorite techniques for using Design Master : coloring hydrangea. Check out his technique below.
Note: The camera makes it look like Shawn is spraying closer than in person. On fresh flowers maintain a spraying distance of 15″-18″.
